Ayurveda is more than skin-deep

There is more to the ancient science of Ayurveda than just fair skin and bright teeth. Although, judging from the advertisements these days, you may very well believe that is all the ancient science of healing can do. But with the right doctors and practitioners, you will realize that Ayurveda can and does address and alleviate serious ailments and chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.

Ayurveda, a system of healing handed down from our ancestors that dates back to over 5000 years ago, is designed to understand the root cause of the ailment, not just the symptoms. To the ‘want-everything- now’ mindset that’s bent on symptomatic relief, this might look like a long process. Wouldn’t you rather your condition were totally eradicated than pop pills every day for the rest of your life?

Ayurveda isn’t in the ‘take-two- of-these- and-don’t- call-me- in the morning’ category of healing. It understand your body type, which can fall into vata, pitta or kapha dosha. Each has its unique characteristics and requires specific treatments. There is no one-size- fits-all solution. Besides your body type, you need to recognize that it takes time to take out all the junk you’ve been feeding your body. If you’ve been abusing your system for 20 years, you can’t expect a miracle cure that will make you feel rejuvenated and refreshed in two months.

Hence it takes time. Time to understand your habits, time to study your eating patterns, time to come up with a specific plan that will suit your lifestyle and your dosha, time for you to stick to the new routine and derive benefits from it. And time to go beyond just the surface of the problem. We will help you understand Ayurveda and wellness.
