I had every intention of celebrating Valentine’s Day, but when Cupid got around to me it seems he had run out of arrows.

Do you know how lucky you are without a date?

You have so much time for yourself. There are no nagging phone calls, texts, fights, or drama. Having the whole pizza to yourself, and most importantly the bank account is always fat. Most importantly, you can play PUBG without any interrupting calls

The freedom to feel things without any fears comes right through the heart when you are single.

Sometimes, very rarely, you may feel lonely, and wonder where your Prince charming or Cinderella?

It takes time for them to appear but this Valentine’s Day, you can ride solo without guilt and on a date.

Movie With Popcorn & Pillow

Watch a feel-good movie to chase the creeping solitude of Valentine’s day. There isn’t anything else better than digging your face into buttery popcorn and enjoying the movie on Netflix under a cozy bed.

Check out these movies to soothe yourself:

  • Panchathanthiram
  • Anbae Sivam
  • Avengers
  • Tenet
  • Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani
  • Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara
  • Piku
  • Frozen

Gift yourself

Let’s add to the cart that jewelry you have been eyeing.

Or do you love that gadget on sale? No more second-guessing. Time to swipe the cards and make yourself happy.

You can go ahead and wrap it today and open it on Valentine’s day. Nobody is going to know it.

Beauty & Spa is a must

Treat yourself to a spa day, your body really needs it. Go get manicures, pedicures, massages, and everything. It de-stresses every inch of irritation from the romantic couples on Valentine’s day.

Love & Valentine Day are different

Valentine’s Day might be for “couples” but love is for everybody.

Get a gift and knock on the doors of your friend’s and family’s house.

Want to be more cringe & cheesy?

Send flowers to your BFFS workplace.

Trips are best when it is solo

You will thank us later when you realize that trips will be more fun when you are single.

Of course, lovey-dovey is certainly a spice you will lack, but if you look at the activities you can do on your trips, you will be grateful that you are single.

No more sharing

About half of the world’s population would agree sharing is not caring when it comes to food.

You will have no time to think about not having a partner besides your bed when there is a large pizza in front of you. It’s okay to cheat your healthy Ayurveda lifestyle once in a blue moon. Esp on Valentine’s day.

Let’s rebel slightly

Call all your single friends. Organize a party and name it “Anti- Valentine’s day”. Play lots of games, order snacks, and go a little rogue to have your way of fun.

Why should couples have all the fun?

It’s just another day

No big deal about Feb 14th.

The sun still rises in the East and sets in the West.

So chill down the hype and take it easy. Have your own normal routine to keep things under your sleeves.

“The thing about Valentine’s Day is that people discover who is single and who to feel jealous of.”

Faye Morgan

When you are single, you are at your liberty to do whatever you want. Not being in a relationship saves a lot of money and time. Explore yourself. Try out crazy things like coloring hair to a unicorn (just kidding), learn to play a musical instrument or martial art.

Don’t lose hope.

Remember it’s better to be alone than being alone in a relationship. Wait, wait for the right person. It might or might not take time. But make sure you take your time in a relationship.
